University of Western Australia Rugby Football Club
The UWA Rugby Football CLub is located at UWA Sports Park (McGillivary Oval) Brockway Road Mt Claremont.
Facilities include:
- New Clubrooms with Licensed bar and audio visual support;
- 3 playing surfaces with adjacent grounds;
- 8 Changerooms;
- First Aid room;
- Archives Room;
- Equipment sheds.
Nearby Challenge Stadium houses the Western Australian Institute of Sport, and a world class swimming venue as well as a Lifecare facility focusing on sports medicine. Gym membership for University players is significantly discounted at the UWA Sports & Recreation Gym on campus.
The clubhouse is fully licensed but, as it is run on a voluntary basis by members, it is only regularly open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during the season. The bar area is available for limited bookings subject to the Club's needs. Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the season (at present April to Sept) are not usually available.
